The Process of Precision Bore Repair

1-3/4 inch to 6 inch diameter opening

3, 5 & 7 foot Boring Bars

  Properly mount the boring equipment

  True up the bore to ensure correct alignment

  Clean out existing hole(s) to ensure round, providing for sound surface to repair upon

  Remove line boring equipment

  Mount bore welder

  Ensure proper alignment to begin bore welding

  Rebuild the opening back up to less than the original opening size

  Remove the bore welder

  Reinstall the line boring equipment, once again, checking for proper alignment

  Make a first rough cut to get the opening to within tolerances

  Measure the opening to ensure proper size

  Perform finishing bore cut to exact size for repaired opening
